Maddox Potter Foundation

ABOUT US

The Maddox Potter Foundation was established to honor the life and legacy of Maddox Potter, a passionate young golfer from South Charleston, West Virginia, who courageously battled a rare pediatric cancer.

Inspired by Maddox’s strength, kindness, and love for the game, the Foundation supports children and families facing childhood cancer by providing direct financial assistance, funding critical research, and creating meaningful opportunities for connection and hope through golf and community initiatives.

Through fundraising events and partnerships, the Foundation works to ease the burden on families, advance awareness of childhood cancer—especially rare and underfunded diagnoses—and ensure that Maddox’s wish is fulfilled: that someone, somewhere, learns something from him.

By turning loss into action, The Maddox Potter Foundation carries Maddox’s spirit forward, ensuring his story continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

OUR MISSION

The Maddox Potter Foundation was created to provide financial assistance to families affected by childhood cancer, support the advancement of pediatric cancer treatments, and connect youth golf with philanthropy and purpose in service of children facing a diagnosis.

NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE.

COURAGE

Maddox served as a shining example that bravery trumps fear and challenges in so many areas of our lives.

FAITH

It was a blessing that Maddox, and many others, were able to demonstrate the convictions of his beliefs through his words and deeds.

FAMILY

There is no greater thing than family and there is no stronger family than the Potters. Through the storms of cancer, of hope, and of loss, they continue to demonstrate the strength of family.
